THAI YOGA MASSAGE
WHAT IS THAI YOGA MASSAGE?
Also known as "Lazy Man's Yoga", Thai massage is a passive form of yoga. This session is traditionally performed on a mat on the floor, but the techniques can also be performed on a table. The therapist warms up the body through compression and then guides the client through a series of assisted stretches, lengthening the muscles and improving joint mobility. Your therapist will be getting up on the table with you to assist in deeper stretches or to use their body weight for deeper pressure.
Please note: the client remains fully clothed during the massage, and workout or loose clothing is recommended.
WILL I BE ON THE FLOOR?
Due to limited space, Looks does not have a Thai mat for yoga massages. All of our yoga massages are performed on the table. If you would like to be on a mat please talk to Kate and she can make special accommodations for you.
WHAT IS PRENATAL THAI MASSAGE?
Prenatal Thai Yoga massage is essentially the same as a standard Thai massage. Pillows are used to bolster the belly, hips, and breasts, and the therapist walks the client through yoga stretches. The stretches are concentrated around the hips and legs as this is the area where most women experience growing pains.
