Laser Hair Removal~
Laser hair removal is a safe way to permanently reduce unwanted hair on your body or face. You’ll be left with silky smooth skin all year long. Both men and women choose laser hair removal and avoid ugly razor burn, red bumps, and the sting of depilatories. Popular areas for treatment include the following:
Back and shoulders
While these areas represent popular spots for laser hair removal, virtually any part of your body can be treated.
How is Laser Hair Removal done?
Coarse, dark hair is targeted with laser hair removal while the surrounding skin is left unharmed. The laser effectively destroys the hair follicle, stopping hair from growing permanently. It usually takes at least 6 to 8 treatments to reduce hair growth.
Clients come in with the area of concern shaved. The Aesthetician will clean the area apply a cold gel, and perform the laser treatment. Cold compresses and SPF is then applied to sun exposed areas.
Pre-Laser Hair Removal Treatment?
4 weeks prior and day of treatment it is required that you stop any prescriptions that causes photosensitivity, tanning, and use a brightening product. Stop any retinoid or exfoliating products 5 days prior. In addition, we do recommend that you stop any non-prescribed blood thinners and fish oil prior to your treatment, as this may cause unnecessary bruising. For the clients that are concerned about bruising we also recommend Arnica Montana tablets 5 days prior to treatment.
Post-Laser Hair Removal Treatment?
24 hours post avoid hot showers, Jacuzzis, and exercise. This is to ensure best treatment and allow the benefits of the IPL Photo Facial Treatment! Do not use any retinoid or exfoliating products 5 days after. Please note there are at home skincare products that our staff may recommend to assist with other concerns or enhance your results. Should you experience lingering heat more than a slight sunburn ice the area and contact the office with any questions.
