Dermaplane is an exfoliation treatment for your skin. It removes dead skin cells, unwanted hair, and build up. The gentle procedure leaves your skin looking more even, toned, and fresh. It’s great for sensitive skin since no chemicals are used. However, dermaplaning can be combined with other treatments – such as facial peels – to promote healthy skin.
How is dermaplane done?
During the procedure, a blade will be used to gently scrape away the top layers of skin. Up to three weeks of rough, dead skin is removed through dermaplaning, and it’s safe to repeat the process once a month. It can be performed on your full face, there are no side effects, and you’ll experience no downtime.
Will my hair grow back thicker?
No your hair will not grow back thicker or darker. The only time this does happen is if you have had hormonal changes that cause hormonal hair growth. Should you have any questions regarding your hormones and would like to further investigate hormone therapy please contact Mallory Family Wellness.
How often should I get dermaplane treatments done?
This all depends on what your skincare goals are. Dermaplane treatments can be done once to two times per month. At Looks Medical Aesthetics we offer Dermaplane treatments in 30, 60, and 90 minute treatments.
